| Hindu Temple of Southwest Florida, Inc Bhajan Checklist for Sponsors Confirm the date, the time and the venue of the Bhajan with a member of the Religious Committee or the Secretary. Tarun Patel, (239) 936-1311: Lakshmi Krishnan (239) 482-0427: Latha Rajendra (239) 574-2501 Currently the venue is at 12552 Plantation Road, Fort Myers FL 33966 on First Friday of every month, Time: 7:30 – 10:30. 7:30- 8:00: Setup 8:00–9:00 Bhajan 9:00: Aarthi 9:15 – 10:00: Prasad/Dinner 10:00 -10:30: Clean up and Close. (Strictly close up at 10:30) Obtain Bhajan list from Secretary. Temple sends an email notification about a week before the bhajan. It is always good to call people from the Bhajan list and other friends to ensure good attendance. Bring a picture or idol of your favorite god. Stand or a small table to place the idol, lamp (oil,wick, and matches). Aarthi plate, flowers, fruit. (Strictly no camphor- to prevent smoke alarm). Floor covering, like comforters, for sitting on the floor. One mic is provided by the school. Food: PRASAD usually prepared by the sponsor. Provide dinner for 100 people minimum. Suggested simple menu: Rice, Dhal, Vegetable dish, Raita, Poori/Naan (optional), Dessert (optional), Drinking Water (Soda not served) People on the Bhajan List may be called upon to assist with bringing food. For additional help or for new members who are not familiar with the community, contact Annapoorna to cater food at a nominal fee. Please contact Lakshmi Bushan or Lakshmi Krishnan. All of Annapoorna proceeds goes towards the temple. Paper Products: Paper Plates, Spoons, Forks, Bowls, Paper cups, Napkins. 10 serving ladles. Misc Items: Bounty, Aluminum Foil and Ziploc bags (to distribute left over). Sponsorship for Friday Bhajan is $350. Sponsorship for special pooja on other days may vary.
